Hello Everyone!

Welcome back to Wonderland Wishing Well!

I figured it was best to start with getting to know me a bit first and since this is a Disney related blog I figured my favorite park would be the perfect introduction. I have been blessed to have visit all of the parks in the United States,  and with that being said I think I can safely say that I have pledged my allegiance to Disneyland as being my favorite park.

There are a few main reasons which have lead me to my choice of Disneyland being the best Disney Park. Firstly, it is the only theme park which is actually Walt’s vision. Since Walt was alive during the construction of Disneyland, he was able to add his personal influence onto many of the attractions and worlds. Disneyland Park is filled with history and nostalgia. While some may argue that Walt was alive for the beginning of DisneyWorld construction, it is also well know that he had a much different vision for what he was aiming for with DisneyWorld. The DisneyWorld was not even completed until five years after Walt’s death.

Disneyland and California in general has a much more stable climate compared to DisneyWorld located in Florida. Which in DisneyWorld, you can be subject to a mid day downpour, as Disneyland on the other hand, you can pretty much guarantee a good day of weather.

Disneyland Park is also the most manageable park I feel. You are able to have a FULL jam packed day but still don’t have to start giving up your favorite rides due to lack of time. This is something I always struggle with at DisneyWorld, especially in the post COVID days when the park closes earlier than it used to. Disneyland on the other hand seems to have the perfect amount of rides to fill your day with. The smaller size of Disneyland in comparison to DisneyWorld also means that transportation is a non issue. Both Disneyland Park, Downtown Disney, and Disney California Adventure are all essentially in the same courtyard allowing easy access and hopping ability. DisneyWorld on the other hand transportation is essential. The only way between certain parks is via a gondola lift which is terrifying for someone such as myself with a fear of heights (to make matters worse, they offer no alternative to the gondola for certain travel routes so if you are terrified of heights, just take note).

Let’s also quickly talk rides, firstly how can DisneyWorld not have the Indiana Jones ride, what a shame. Also the Matterhorn and Space Mountain are just SIGNIFICANTLY better in Disneyland. DisneyWorld you can keep the PeopleMover and the Carousel of Progress, they are slow rides anyways (but excellent places to catch a break from the heat just to sit down for a few minutes!)

All in all Disneyland takes the award for being the better park. Let me know in the comments below which park is your favorite and why
